To sign-in to Careficient, you will need to enter the URL into the address window of your browser or click on the following link.

"Org Code" text box, enter the Org Code that your agency provided you with.

"User Name" & "Password" - When your facility administrator (person responsible for the software at your agency), adds you to the system, you will originally receive an email with your login credentials.  If you do not, please check your SPAM folder first for the email.  If you did not receive the email in your SPAM folder either, please contact your agency administrator first and not the Careficient Support Team. Enter the User Name and Password that you were provided with.

Click on "Sign In"

There are 2 different authentication factors to verify your access. The two-factor authorizations include:

  • Your log-in password
  • Authentication code sent to you as an email or sent as a text message

To use this two-factor process:

  • Each user MUST have their own individual email address entered as part of their Associate master file record (this can be a company assigned email or their individual personal email address), and/or
  • A phone number entered as part of the Associate master file record that can accept text messages

After you enter the Org Code, User Name and Password, select the <btn>   Sign in  <btn> button. A new screen displays asking you how you want to receive the confirmation code. Options can show an email address and/or one/multiple phone numbers entered in your Associate master file. You can pick either the email address or a phone number that can receive text messages. Once you decide the method of delivery, select the <btn>   Send Code   <btn> button.

The Enter Code screen displays. Check your email/text for the authentication code and enter the code you received in the box provided. After you enter the code, select the <btn>   Submit  <btn> button.

If you did not receive your code, you can select the <udl-orange>Resend Code<udl-orange> link.

For older agencies that have not been using this feature, you must contact or Careficient support team to activate this process for your agency. It is recommended that prior to activating the two-factor authentication feature, that you:

  • Check/Validate that each Associate has a valid "individual" email address (no group or shared emails)
  • Check/Validate that each Associate has a phone listed that can receive text messages
  • Notify all Associates that the this new process is going to be implemented and give them an effective date
  • Contact our Careficient support team to activate this feature.

When we activate this feature for you, we can set up the authentication feature at every sign-in, at least 1 time a day, once every 2 days, once every 3 days, etc.

  • For emails:
  • ~Make sure the email on file is correct
  • ~Check Spam and Junk mail folders as the email may be in one of these folders  
  • For texts:
  • ~Check to make sure your phone number on file is correct and that it can receive text messages
  • ~Check to make sure your ROAMING is not active (it still might work using ROAMING, but this could be one of the possibilities holding up text messages)
  • ~Make sure your phone has active service (i.e., not in airplane mode or some other mode that indicates you are disconnected/have no service; “No Bars” might be another indicator)
  • ~If you are connected to a WiFi, make sure you have a connection; or disconnect/reconnect to the WiFi
  • ~If you have no Wi-Fi service, disconnect from the Wi-Fi as this could stop you from receiving text messages

When you first log in, you will be prompted to change your password:

  • "Password" - enter the password that you were either emailed or your facility administrator provided you with.
  • "New Password" - enter the password you want to change it to
  • "Confirm New Password" - enter the password you want to change it to
  • "Change Password" - click when you have completed the above three steps

** Passwords must be at least 6 characters and contain at least 1 number (s)**

Password Reset Timeframe

The system will automatically require password resets every 90 days unless your agency requests a different time frame when we configure your environment.

Excluding the Use of Certain Passwords

To improve security access to the Careficient application,  the following passwords will not be allowed:

When you change your password you will receive the  following message if you try to use one of the passwords listed above:

Password incorrect or New Password invalid

This means that your password that you are trying to  change is incorrect or the new password is not acceptable.   Enter the existing password again and  enter/confirm a new password that is acceptable.

Click on "Continue".  This will take you to your "Home" page.

Forgot Password

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it by clicking on the "Forgot Password" link.

Enter your Org Code and User Name and then click on the Submit button.

NOTE: Careficient does not provide you with your ORG code or User Name.  

You should receive an email with a new password in your email.  If you do not, please check your SPAM folder for the email.  In the event that you do not receive your password reset via email and after you have checked your spam folder, please get with your agency administrator that the email in your associate file is the correct email.  If after this, you do not receive the email, you may log a ticket with Careficient regarding the problem. 

Please do not send "Password change request" in a "customer support ticket". 

PLEASE CONTACT YOUR FACILITY OR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (possibly your Director of Nursing or Administrator) for assistance. 

Careficient is not your system administrator.  If the facility or system administrator is not able to assist you with this matter, they will need to file a support request for additional training for setting up user access.  

Show/Hide Password

When you access the Careficient "Sign in" screen for the Careficient AMS website and enter your access information (Org Code, User Name, Password), you can now show/hide the password you entered on the screen. Select the Show/Hide Password icon<icon-eye>xxx<icon-eye>as necessary to show your password.
