Patient-Payer Authorization Number Missing

Go to the patient encounter > Payer Tab > Authorization bubble > On the authorization tab at the top you will see orange link that says “Authorization missing”.  This will give you a list of the visits that you do not have authorizations for.  

Please pay special attention the the following check boxes.  If you have authorizations but the visit that you have doesn't fall into one of the boxes you have checked for your payer, then it will not allow for that type of visit.  For example:  If you did assessment that were "visits" instead of "Hours/Units", then in the image below you will see that you do not have authorization for "Visits".   For this example you would need to edit the type of service on the verify services screen Patients > Verifications > Verify Services OR Adjust Verified Services.
